DCP is short for domain control panel,you can manage your domain with it.There are many functions you can operate in DCP,like modify the NS,transfer your domain to others,add or modify the resolution records,query available domain to be registered and so on.Then I would like to shared the exact operations of them with you.
At the beginning,I want to tell you how to log in.The user name of it is the mailbox you registered before,if you log in at the first time,you just need to click forget password,then go to your mailbox to get the password,but it is temporary,as you log in your domain control panel,you can change the password in it.
Modify NS,that is to say,which NS your domain resolved. It separate into NS of the hosting provider and domain registration provider.If you choose the NS of hosting provider,it will be resolved automatically,but if you use the ns of domain registration provider,you need to modify manually.Then you need to modify it in your domain control panel,the steps are:log in choose the domain-click Manage DNS-NS Records-Add NS Record-Add Record.
As for modifying resolution records,there are A record, MX record,CNAME record and other records.And the records we use frequently are the above records I listed.
The steps are similar with modifying NS.Log in-click Manage DNS-choose the records for your domain.For example,modify an A record for your domain.Click Manage DNS-Add A Record,then you need to type something to create an A record.In the Host name blank,type the domain,if it is your primary domain,keep it blank;if it is subdomain like bbs.idc.com,then type bbs in the blank.About the Destination IPv4 Address,type the IP address you want to assign to,then click Add Record.You can also modify or delete the records you added before.By the way,all of the above records you can also add in the control panel.
Lastly,let us talk about the steps how to transfer your domain to others .Log in your DCP,click the domain,then you will find”move services”in the upper right corner,click it,after that,you will be transferred to a new page and will be asked to type the new registrant’s ID and his user name of DCP on this page,click move services to other customer afterwards.If you feel it difficult to operate,you can ask the professional support for help.
