Domain Transfer Services with respect to HostEase.com

This article shows you respectively the process of transferring a domain name to HostEase as well as transferring a domain name away from HostEase.com.

Prior to starting Transfer, a few simple things below should be confirmed for both processes to make sure Transfer goes smoothly.

1. If the domain name you are trying to Transfer was registered less than 60 days ago , the request will get rejected by the Registry->Registrar itself.

2. A domain name can not be transferred to another Registrar within 60 days of a previous Transfer.

3. If Theft Protection / Lock / Suspension has been applied on->to your domain name at the Current Registrar, then a Transfer for that domain name to another Registrar will not be allowed. You will first disable Theft Protection / Lock / Suspension for the domain name then proceed with a Transfer.

Now, let’s go to the first situation during Transfer, showing detailed steps of having your domain transferred to HostEase.com LLC.

Firstly, as the precondition mentioned above, have your domain unlocked in the current registrar and get the Domain Secret (i.e. EPP code).

Secondly, place a transfer request with HostEase.com LLC by signing up for a new account at Client Manage Portal, or logging in with a registered one. Then click on icon labeled “Order” on the left, you will get a navigation bar displayed on the right. If you want to purchase hosting along with transferring domain to HostEase.com LLC, just select one web hosting solution, you will be redirected to Product Configuration page, click the second option “I want to transfer my domain to HostEase”, meanwhile fill domain in the blank with the right extension, go ahead naturally.

Alternatively, you only need Transfer domain but no hosting, what you need to do is just clicking the option” Transfer Domain” on navigation bar, fill in EPP code and set up the Name Server as you like.(You’d better use default ones:ns1.hostease.com&ns2.hostease.com) . Proceed to Checkout, renew for at least one year per domain name in HostEase.com LLC.

Fourthly, after have placed the Transfer Order, the Administrative Contact for the domain name will receive an e-mail from HostEase.com LLC for the Transfer Authorization process, which needs to be approved in 5 business days.

Note:
If the Administrative Contact does not approve the Transfer within 5 days, it is assumed that the Admin Contact does not wish (for) the Transfer to complete and the Order is deleted in our system.

The fifth step/Fifthly, Once the mail has been approved by the Administrative Contact, the Current Registrar will be notified regarding the same. The Current Registrar will send an e-mail to the Registrant and/or the Administrative Contact of the concerned domain name to confirm that they wish to Transfer their domain name. If the Transfer is not denied by either the Registrant or the Administrative Contact or the Current Registrar, the domain name will be transferred to you under HostEase.com LLC in the next 6 days.

Of course, the system would set a new Domain Secret for such a domain name Once the domain having an associated Domain Secret is transferred to HostEase.com LLC from another Registrar .This process is implemented from a security perspective, but domain with extension of EU and UK are not included.

Except the situations above, in case that you have bulk domains transferred to HostEase.com LLC,
Bulk Transfer interface is available to you on manage client portal, you may place a transfer request for multiple domain names simultaneously.

Then, let’s talk abut another situation, transferring domain away from HostEase.com LLC.

(Before proceeding with the Transfer, you also need to confirm a few simple things listed at the very start of this article with the Registrar of your choice to check whether your domain name can be transferred.
You may have got the system (will) automatically enabled “Theft Protection” for domain name once it is transferred to HostEase.com LLC from another registrar, That means HostEase will reject the transfer of any domain name unless has “Theft Protection” disabled. If you are not sure whether you have a theft protection, view the Theft Protection of your domain name.
To disable a theft protection of domain registered with HostEase.com LLC then get domain secret, do as follows:

1.Login to your domain control panel with correct username and password, search for the domain name and proceed to the Order details view.

2.Click the Theft Protection link, and then disable it.

3.Locate the field of “Domain Secret”, click on and get it.

Once you have determined whether a domain name can be transferred, you need to apply for the Transfer at the Registrar of your choice. We would receive intimation later about this Transfer on the condition that you have confirmed the Transfer with the New/Gaining Registrar. By the same token, an email would be sent from us to the Registrant and Administrative Contacts of the domain name, informing them that a request for Transfer of this domain name has been placed with the New/Gaining Registrar. The domain name will get transferred to the New/Gaining Registrar, at the expiry of 6 days from you having approved the Transfer at the New Registrar, provided the Registrant or Administrative Contact does not cancel the Transfer.

If your transfer is rejected, go directly to http://support.hostease.com , we are available to you at any time. Especially you are planning to transfer domain not generic but with special extension.
