DNS in HostEase

HostEase is not only a hosting provider but also
a domain registrar. As you know, there should be some differences of DNS between hosting provider and domain registrar. Now let’s talk something about HostEase’s DNS.

Purchasing hosting in Hostease
If you only purchase web hosting in Hostease without registering domain here, we recommend you to change the NS of your primary domain name (the domain name which you used to place your web hosting order) before/after you place the order to: ns1.hostease and ns2.hostease.com. These two DNS addresses are HostEase’s default ones as a hosting provider. If you don’t change them, you have to make DNS records in your domain control panel though the DNS records have been generated in HostEase’s DNS servers automaticaly after your web hosting account being activated.
If you choose basic package or business package, you can enjoy unlimited addon domains and parked domains. We also recommend you to change the NS of the domain you want to add or park in cPanel to HostEase’s default DNS addresses. Then you can add or park the domain in cPanel by yourself easily. However, you may encounter with such error notice if you don’t change the NS of the domain before you add or park it :“ Error from park wrapper: Using nameservers with the following IPs: xxx xxxx. Sorry, the domain is already pointed to an IP address that does not appear to use DNS servers associated with this server. Please transfer the domain to this server’s nameservers or have your administrator add one of its nameservers to /etc/ ips.remotedns and make the proper A entries on that remote nameserver.”. At this moment you have the following methods to solve this issue: Contact with customer service representatives to help you add them or change NS of the domain to HostEase’s default DNS addresses: ns1.hostease.com and ns2.hostease.com.

Registering domain in HostEase
If you just register a domain in HostEase, you can manage your domain in your domain control panel here, in short of DCP. Here is the address for you to log in this system: http://dcp.hostease.com. After you register a domain in HostEase, the default ns are ns1.hoatease.com and ns2.hostease.com. They are different from the NS of DCP system. NS of DCP system are listed as following:
hostease.mars.orderbox-dns.com
hostease.earth.orderbox-dns.com
hostease.venus.orderbox-dns.com
hostease.mercury.orderbox-dns.com

If you want to use DCP system to make domain records, you have to use DCP’s four NS. It’s very easy for you to change the default NS to the four DNS addresses of DCP system in dcp.hostease.com. After that, you can make any records for your domain there without a hitch. For example, you can manage domain forwarding; add A records, MX records, CNAME records and so on. The domain records here will not function if you use HE’s default DNS addresses: ns1.hostease.com and ns2.hostease.com.

Purchasing hosting together with registering domain in HostEase
If you purchase hosting in HostEase together with domain, I will strongly recommend you to keep original DNS addresses (ns1.hostease.com and ns2.hostease.com) as much as possible. It is hard to exaggerate the benefits this would bring to you. That’s because we are using DNS clustering technology for our cPanel servers. And the DNS records could be automatically changed along with the IP changing or creating of your hosting account. If you have to make DNS records in dcp.hostease.com, please remember to change the NS of your domain there to the four DNS addresses of DCP system.
